PAG will feature its new L90 Slim battery, which will be shipping to coincide with NAB.
The global provider of broadcast camera power will also debut new 4-position chargers, available in Gold Mount and V-Mount formats.
The PAG L90 Slim offers a low-profile form factor and lightweight construction, which make it ideal for use with small cameras, such as the ARRI Alexa Mini, especially when mounted to gimbals or drones.
The battery measures 140 x 85 x 35mm (5.51” x 3.34” x 1.37”), weighs 0.5kg (1.1lbs), and has a capacity of 90Wh; giving it the greatest energy density of any V-Mount Li-Ion battery brought to market. It features the latest high-current, high-capacity Li-Ion cells which provide a continuous current-draw of 10A, making it ideal for power-hungry applications.
Not only has the battery been designed to withstand the vibration associated with multirotor aerial platforms, it also incorporates the industry’s first orientation-sensing numeric Run-Time & Capacity Display. The display adjusts automatically, according to the battery’s orientation, to ensure legibility. The PAG L90 Slim is an intelligent battery that manages its own charge and discharge safely. It can be charged using any reputable V-Mount Li-Ion charger.
Also at NAB for the first time are PAG’s new 4-position Li-Ion chargers, designed to help broadcast organizations and camera rental companies manage a large inventory of PAGlink batteries. Linked battery charging is unique to the PAGlink system and was developed by PAG. Each channel of these new PAG chargers allows up to 8 linked batteries to be charged simultaneously; up to 32 batteries can be charged without user intervention. This greatly reduces the number of chargers required, cutting costs dramatically. Batteries can be left safely and conveniently on the charger overnight until needed. PAG PL16+ 4-position chargers are available in Gold Mount and V-Mount formats.
